We are a religious Institute that, moved by the witness of the merciful heart of Jesus, seeks in all things the greater glory of God, the salvation of mankind and our own sanctification.

We lead a consecrated life, in a community based in faith, fraternal love and apostolic service, according to our particular charism in the Church: to be consolation in loneliness. We desire and strive for the loving plan of God to be realized in all people – particularly in the poorest, most helpless and needy – so that they may live with dignity as His children in a world of brothers and sisters.

Our religious life is essentially apostolic-based because “we live as the Apostles lived: following Christ in service and communion, according to the teachings of the Gospel, in the Church he founded”. This experience shapes us in Christ in the mystery of his merciful Love, symbolized in his Heart and projected on the people most in need of help and attention, in every way. For this reason we want to be true Guardian Angels, who comfort and accompany Jesus in the affliction that He keeps living through His most lonely and needy brothers and sisters.

Our charism in the Church is an “experience of the Holy Spirit”, which has been transmitted to us so that we may live it, guard it in growing fidelity, deepen it each day and constantly develop it, in ever-growing harmony with the Body of Christ. This experience truly and progressively shapes us with Christ in the mystery of his merciful Love, symbolized in his Heart and projected on the people (most) in need of company, help and attention, in every way.

By virtue of this charism, we want to be true guardian angels, who comfort and accompany Jesus in the affliction that he keeps living in his (most) lonely and needy brothers and sisters – just like the Guardian Angels, who, while serving men, are uninterruptedly contemplating the face of the Father. Contemplation leads us to service and service to contemplation. And with Mary and like Mary, who was at the foot of the Cross of her Son, we want to be at the foot of the cross of those who suffer today, expressing to them “Mary’s maternal love”.

In virtue of our vocation and as an exercise of our apostolic mission, we welcome, attend and care with special solicitude, both physically and spiritually, for ladies who live in loneliness or who are most in need of help and comfort.

We also extend our charitable work to other works of the apostolate, such as boarding schools, schools for young people, houses of spirituality, soup kitchens for poor children, missions, etc., collaborating with the wishes of the Church and always in conformity with the proper nature of our Institute.

In this work, we welcome the cooperation of the laity, participating in our charismatic nature and collaborating in our mission of giving “comfort in solitude”.
