Features of our spirituality from
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
Eucharist
From the origins of our Congregation, the nocturnal adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has had great importance, as a way of being in communion with the sufferings of Jesus that endure in those who suffer today. Faithful to our living tradition, we must carefully carry on this feature of our spirituality.
The Sacred Heart
All our spirituality is centered on the Heart of Jesus – that is, on His love for the Father and for our brothers and sisters – and springs from Him as if from a living and perennial root. These are essential features of our spirituality, as fruit and requirement of our charism, as Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of the Angels.
We shape to Christ truly and progressively in the mystery of His love for God and mankind, symbolized in his Heart by believing in that love, allowing ourselves to be loved by Him and loving everyone with his same merciful love, especially our sisters and those in need, who are the recipients of our apostolic service.
Devotion to
Virgin Mary
Virgin Mary is the perfect Christian – the true disciple and faithful follower of her Son. She herself “consecrated herself entirely, as servant of the Lord, to the Person and work of her Son, subordinate to Him and together with Him, serving the mystery of redemption with the grace of almighty God”. In active submission to the Holy Spirit, she adopted the same lifestyle of Jesus, fully living the same mystery of chastity, poverty and obedience. She is therefore a perfect model of our consecrated life and an effective guarantee of our fidelity.
Angelic Vocation
We offer the total gift of ourselves to God and to the Church, for the good of all men and women—especially those who feel alone or forgotten. Inspired by the example of the holy angels, we live a spirit of contemplation and service, carrying out our apostolic mission with a contemplative heart in the midst of daily action.
