We, the Angelic Religious, have experienced days of special grace and vocational discernment in Mexico City together with a group of young people who have participated in a personal vocational experience, accompanied by Fr. Ignacio Migolla, who has given talks on vocation in an atmosphere of silence, prayer, reading, and inner peace.
The community has opened its doors with simplicity and joy, sharing with the participants their daily rhythm of prayer, work and accompaniment of the women, in order to offer them a real experience of religious life.
In addition, seven young women also participated in a weekend retreat, some of them with a certain vocational interest. The experience, marked by moments of encounter, reflection, and fraternity, left them with a deep desire to continue exploring this path of discernment.
As a grand finale, two of the teenagers were also able to attend the renewal of vows of Sister Serly Montilla Escalona, whose testimony of a life devoted to love has been an inspiration to all.
On the other hand, on 2 August, Sister Lenisbeth renewed her vows of chastity, poverty and obedience during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Antonio la Roca. In his homily, the priest compared the three evangelical counsels to the nails of Christ: the wound in his side, with the charism and spirituality of the congregation, and the crown, with fraternal life. ‘The Lord knows us and searches our hearts so that each day we can renew that “yes” of first love,’ he said.
In short, these were days of unity, prayer and joy, during which we continued to ask the Lord to continue touching many hearts with his love and eternal mercy, and Mother Genoveva to continue enlightening our community and all the young people and families who are also part of it.
