Venezuela is experiencing days of mourning and uncertainty. The double earthquake that struck the country on June 24 has left thousands of people affected, countless homes destroyed, and many families trapped beneath the rubble. It is a tragedy that has deeply touched us, and we wanted to do our part by launching several relief initiatives through our residences across Spain, as well as through our community soup kitchen in Bachaquero.

For us, Venezuela is a country of great importance, where we live out our charism alongside the children we serve at our community soup kitchen—a place of welcome and care that now carries even greater significance. For this reason, the sisters, together with the staff and all those involved in our Angelic community in Venezuela, have transformed the soup kitchen into a place of support and hope, where the congregation accompanies families affected by the earthquake.

  • Through your prayers The Angelic Sisters have launched a global prayer initiative for Venezuela, inviting people everywhere to join in solidarity. Wherever you are, you can light a virtual candle and leave your prayer intention. You can join the initiative and light your candle here.

Help Is Already on the Way

The response was immediate. From the very first moments after the tragedy, the various residences of our congregation across Spain became collection points for financial donations. In collaboration with Caritas, these funds are now being sent to Venezuela to provide relief and support to those affected by the earthquake.

We are humbled to be part of this global outpouring of solidarity, praying that, through God’s mercy, Venezuela and its people may find the strength and hope to move forward.
