The Angelic Sisters have experienced with deep emotion the first temporary profession of vows of Sister Maria Angelis Espinoza, who officially consecrated herself to the Lord in a ceremony celebrated in the parish of St. Peter and Paul, in the city of Medellin, last Friday.

The Eucharist, which was celebrated on the eve of the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, was presided over by the presbyter Jorge Alberto Ruiz Tabón, delegate for Consecrated Life, who recalled that ‘to speak of the heart of Jesus is to speak of why God loves us’. The parish, which warmly welcomes the novitiate community in this city, was filled with joy around the altar.

During the liturgy, Sister Maria Angelis pronounced her temporary vows in the presence of the community, taking a significant step in her journey of consecration. With a serene voice and a firm heart, she publicly expressed her desire to give her life to this mission as an angelic religious, at the service of God and of those who live in solitude.

The day was also an occasion for the Angelic Sisters to renew their commitment to the contemplative life in action, and to give thanks to the Lord for the gift of Mary’s vocation. ‘With feelings of gratitude, we ask the Lord to shower his blessing on her and on all of us’, the community affirms.

The ceremony culminated with the procession inside the church of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as with the celebration in which family members, sisters and parishioners shared the joy of this new beginning in which Sister Maria Angelis is fully incorporated into the life of the congregation, continuing her formation and dedication.
